Predazzo is fully ready for the winter season

Last week in Predazzo, together with the local team, we successfully prepared both ski jumping hills for the start of the winter season, which will also include an important Olympic event. The work was carried out quickly, precisely and in excellent cooperation with the local experts who maintain the facilities throughout the entire year. As part of the preparations, we also conducted training for the end users of TopSpeed® equipment and provided them with all the knowledge required for effective winter-season hill preparation.

We needed two days to prepare the TopSpeed® Ice in-run track. The in-run was filled with an optimal mixture of snow and water, which, with the help of TopSpeed® Cooling system, quickly and evenly froze into a solid, stable ice surface. The following morning, we used TopSpeed® Ice cutter to carve a new in-run track without any difficulties. The ice cutter is equipped with modern blade technology that ensures minimal friction between the skis and the ice surface while meeting the latest requirements of the International Ski Federation (FIS).

On the landing areas, covered with TopSpeed® Plastic mats that allow year-round use of the ski jumping facility, we installed new TopSpeed®Snow retention nets. These prevent snow from slipping and ensure a stable landing surface even under higher loads and changing weather conditions.

With the work completed, both ski jumping hills are fully prepared for winter, meet all technical requirements for top-level competitions, and are ready for the highlight of the season – the Milano–Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games.
