Mixed installation team

The K90 ski-jumping hill in Hachimantai, Japan, was successfully completed—a venue with a special legacy. This is where Ryoyu Kobayashi, one of the greatest ski jumpers of all time, trained as a child. A two-time Olympic medallist and overall World Cup winner, he honed his skills on this very hill, making this project even more meaningful.

This was also a milestone for TopSpeed, as it was the first time we collaborated with a local installation team. Due to travel restrictions, only two of our top installation experts travelled to Japan, working hand in hand with local professionals. The Japanese team impressed us with their exceptional precision, punctuality, and environmental awareness—not even the smallest piece of trash was left behind, and the entire worksite was vacuum-cleaned after installation.

Through this project, we successfully established a Japanese-based installation team, transferring our expertise while also learning from Japan’s meticulous approach to work—a mutual exchange that will benefit us in the long run.

Additionally, we introduced an innovative auxiliary product: a custom-made protection cushion beneath the take-off area. This system enhances athlete safety, minimizing injury risks for jumpers who fall near the take-off point.

Another successful milestone for TopSpeed, reinforcing our commitment to excellence and safety in ski jumping technology.
